Free Webinar on Artificial Intelligence

ai in technology

AI is a growing field, and this free webinar will explore the role that it will play in the workplace. APUS faculty member Dr. Wanda Curlee will discuss AI and its role in the workplace. She will also discuss how AI can help improve workplace productivity. This webinar gives you a good introduction to AI and machine-learning.

AI is a subset CompSci

AI is an area of computer science that involves enabling machines to carry out tasks that used to be done by humans. This field focuses on developing algorithms and computer systems that can be trained to learn from large amounts of data. These applications include image analysis and predictive analytics.

The field of AI is rapidly evolving and has endless applications. AI technology brings a new level of productivity to businesses, allowing them to automate tasks like text processing and resource management. This webinar will discuss some of the most cutting-edge AI applications and present some of the latest technologies.

meaning of ai

AI has come quite a ways since 1956, when it was born at Dartmouth College. This conference was attended by many top scientists and industry leaders. It is believed to have sparked the development of AI. There have been many advances in the field since then. In particular, advances in computer vision and robotics have been made. These advancements have made AI a reality.

Machine learning is a subset of AI

Machine learning involves the creation algorithms to predict future behaviours. It's been used in many applications from Google filtering spamm and malware to banks detecting suspicious transaction. It is also used in voice recognition software, such Amazon's Alexa. Doctors can also use machine-learning algorithms to interpret test data.

Machine learning is an artificial intelligence subset. It is a technique to train machines to learn through experience. Machine learning algorithms learn from experiences and can evolve over time, unlike traditional artificial Intelligence, which requires explicit programming. These algorithms can be divided into two categories: unsupervised, and supervised. Reinforcement learning uses algorithms that learn from training data and adjust their weights to account for variable inputs.

Machine learning's goal is to minimize errors in prediction compared to ground truth. It is possible to create a machine learning algorithm that uses an error function to calculate the margin between a known example and the model's estimate. This "evaluate and optimize" process is repeated over again until an acceptable level of accuracy is achieved.

arguments for and against ai news anchor

It is a subset of CompSci

CompSci's Artificial Intelligence Institute webinars offer a free webinar about artificial intelligence. This webinar series introduces basic concepts of AI. The webinar series also includes case studies and insights for business. The webinars are hosted free of charge by some of the most prominent researchers in the field such as Intel and CompSci faculty.

Artificial intelligence, a branch of computer sciences, draws from many disciplines, including neuroscience, psychology, cognitive science, and more. This branch can be applied to many fields including software development and engineering. Multiple branches of AI can be intertwined, such as neural networks.

While the idea of a machine that can learn and think on its own has long been present, it has taken a while for the field to mature. AI research began in 1956 with the Dartmouth College's first AI conference. It attracted attention from top industry and government leaders. AI has made significant progress since then. Although the GPS algorithm by Newell and Simon was a significant step forward, it was not sophisticated enough to solve complicated problems. McCarthy and Weizenbaum also made significant progress with their Lisp programming language and ELIZA natural processing program. These breakthroughs set the stage for chatbots, and other AI systems.

FAQ

AI: Good or bad?

Both positive and negative aspects of AI can be seen. AI allows us do more things in a shorter time than ever before. Programming programs that can perform word processing and spreadsheets is now much easier than ever. Instead, our computers can do these tasks for us.

The negative aspect of AI is that it could replace human beings. Many believe that robots may eventually surpass their creators' intelligence. This means that they may start taking over jobs.

Are there any risks associated with AI?

Of course. There will always be. AI is seen as a threat to society. Others argue that AI can be beneficial, but it is also necessary to improve quality of life.

AI's misuse potential is the greatest concern. It could have dangerous consequences if AI becomes too powerful. This includes autonomous weapons and robot rulers.

AI could also take over jobs. Many people worry that robots may replace workers. Some people believe artificial intelligence could allow workers to be more focused on their jobs.

Some economists even predict that automation will lead to higher productivity and lower unemployment.

How does AI affect the workplace?

It will change how we work. We will be able automate repetitive jobs, allowing employees to focus on higher-value tasks.

It will improve customer service and help businesses deliver better products and services.

This will enable us to predict future trends, and allow us to seize opportunities.

It will enable companies to gain a competitive disadvantage over their competitors.

Companies that fail to adopt AI will fall behind.

What is AI good for?

AI can be used for two main purposes:

* Prediction - AI systems are capable of predicting future events. A self-driving vehicle can, for example, use AI to spot traffic lights and then stop at them.

* Decision making - Artificial intelligence systems can take decisions for us. So, for example, your phone can identify faces and suggest friends calls.

Statistics

  • In the first half of 2017, the company discovered and banned 300,000 terrorist-linked accounts, 95 percent of which were found by non-human, artificially intelligent machines. (builtin.com)
  • By using BrainBox AI, commercial buildings can reduce total energy costs by 25% and improves occupant comfort by 60%. (analyticsinsight.net)
  • A 2021 Pew Research survey revealed that 37 percent of respondents who are more concerned than excited about AI had concerns including job loss, privacy, and AI's potential to “surpass human skills.” (builtin.com)
  • That's as many of us that have been in that AI space would say, it's about 70 or 80 percent of the work. (finra.org)
  • Additionally, keeping in mind the current crisis, the AI is designed in a manner where it reduces the carbon footprint by 20-40%. (analyticsinsight.net)

How To

How to set up Google Home

Google Home is a digital assistant powered by artificial intelligence. It uses natural language processors and advanced algorithms to answer all your questions. With Google Assistant, you can do everything from search the web to set timers to create reminders and then have those reminders sent right to your phone.

Google Home integrates seamlessly with Android phones and iPhones, allowing you to interact with your Google Account through your mobile device. By connecting an iPhone or iPad to a Google Home over WiFi, you can take advantage of features like Apple Pay, Siri Shortcuts, and third-party apps that are optimized for Google Home.

Google Home has many useful features, just like any other Google product. Google Home can remember your routines so it can follow them. It doesn't need to be told how to change the temperature, turn on lights, or play music when you wake up. Instead, you can simply say "Hey Google" and let it know what you'd like done.

To set up Google Home, follow these steps:

  1. Turn on Google Home.
  2. Hold the Action Button on top of Google Home.
  3. The Setup Wizard appears.
  4. Continue
  5. Enter your email adress and password.
  6. Click on Sign in
  7. Google Home is now available
